What does it mean to be a Certified Pro?
Certified Pros have undergone rigorous screening to make sure they have a stellar reputation in the community and that they are reputable. We call references, check with suppliers, call other Pro's, conduct background checks, verify business filings, check with consumer affairs, verify insurance, and scour the web to make sure we only certify reputable professionals. If we have any doubt that a contractor is not reliable and reputable, we will not certify them.
When a pro is certified, you will see a badge next to their profile letting you know they have met the criteria to be a Certified Pro.
When you see Licensed & Insured, FindAPro.com has verified that the contractor has a valid home improvement license and carries general liability insurance in addition to our rigorous background check.
Some categories (e.g. cleaning services, etc.) don't require county licensing. When you see the Reputation Verified badge, you can rest assured that contractor has passed our rigorous background check.
