FindAPro.com Guarantee

FindAPro.com stands behind our Certified Pros and backs up their work with a guarantee. If there are problems with the work performed by a Certified Pro, FindAPro.com will work with both parties to reach a resolution.

In the event that a homeowner and a Certified Pro have irreconcilable differences and are still unable or unwilling to agree upon a resolution, the homeowner may be eligible to receive an award of up to $1,000 to fix the problem. To be eligible for the guarantee, the homeowner has to meet the following requirements:

  1. Initial contact with the Certified Pro must have been made through a qualified FindAPro.com quote request.
  2. Homeowner must have hired the Certified Pro within 30 days of submitting the quote request.
  3. The information provided in the quote request must be accurate and truthful.
  4. A written contract or agreement must have been signed by both parties for a home service project consistent with that described in the quote request.
  5. The homeowner must have submitted a written complaint to FindAPro.com regarding the Certified Pro's workmanship or service and provided all required documentation within 30 days of the completion of the job.
  6. The homeowner has complied with any request by FindAPro.com for a 3rd party evaluation or documentation supporting the complaint.
  7. The homeowner is willing to have another Certified Pro complete the contracted work if possible or remedy the work in dispute.

The guarantee is not applicable under the following circumstances:

  1. Work that is performed without a written contract or agreement signed by both parties.
  2. Work performed by someone other than a Certified Pro.
  3. On any materials, equipment, appliances or other machinery, whether or not provided by you or the Certified Pro.
  4. Work altered by you or any other party except the Certified Pro.
  5. Work that extends beyond the scope or description of the original quote request you submitted to FindAPro.com.
  6. If you have not submitted the complaint to FindAPro.com customer service via phone, e-mail, letter, fax, or online "live chat" within 30 days following service or job completion.

Resolution Process

FindAPro.com takes all complaints against our Certified Pro seriously. To initiate the resolution process, we request that all complaints be thoroughly and accurately documented in writing and copies of all related documents, including original signed contracts or agreements, evidence of payments, etc. be provided to FindAPro.com.

In most cases, communication between the homeowner and the Certified Pro can resolve most problems. FindAPro.com will attempt to contact the Certified Pro and relay specific concerns related to a FindAPro.com quote request project. We will try to help both parties reach a mutually acceptable resolution to any disputes.

In the event that a homeowner and a Certified Pro have irreconcilable differences and are still unable or unwilling to agree upon a resolution, FindAPro.com may elect to have another Certified Pro inspect the service or project and render their opinion to FindAPro.com as it relates to the workmanship and service of the original Certified Pro.

If the Certified Pro did not provide the services described in the agreement, FindAPro.com may grant the homeowner an award in an amount equal to the homeowner's actual out of pocket monetary losses, such amount not to exceed $1,000 USD. FindAPro.com can choose whether to have another Certified Pro provide service to remedy the workmanship or services in dispute, in such case FindAPro.com will pay the Certified Pro directly, or pay the award to the homeowner. FindAPro.com reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the form of the Guarantee award.
