Stu is great

I work in real estate and chose Long Island Kitchen Designs over the contractor I got from work. Stu was more upfront and sat with me to review a seven page contract until we both thoroughly understood. When extra things came up we sat and discussed them in the same manner. We also set up a schedule of payments to correlate with each stage of the kitchen remodel. It was very good to work with Stu.

The sub contractor that replaced the flooring was not my favorite. They did some other work around the kitchen that I thought was fine until another of his subs pointed out some things. I had to ask them to come back a few times. Joey, that pointed out the other crew's work, was wonderful, knowledgeable, and did excellent work. He installed the cabinets and did a good amount of the construction.

Stu was very much on top of things and responsive to any problems I had along the way. I would very highly recommend using him to remodel a kitchen. The kitchen looks so beautiful it has raised the level of the entire apartment complex. more...

They are great

Long Island Kitchen Designs has not only gutted and remodeled my kitchen, but also did the same for my bathroom. I hired them to remodel my kitchen after a recommendation from a friend. It was such a pleasure dealing with them we hired them for our kitchen a few months ago.

The crew was always on time and kept to schedule. The work was done when promised and I was especially happy with the attentiveness to detail. Everything was done with great precision. The owners were very helpful and honest people. I would recommend them to my friends. more...

Great Recommendation

Long Island Kitchens ripped up my kitchen floor and laid beautiful tiles down. They also subcontracted the electric work in the kitchen. In addition, matching tiles were added to the backsplash. The adjoined bathroom was attended to with a new tile floor, new sink, and new toilet. I was so happy with the work we brought them back for the upstairs bathroom renovation. This took the bathroom down to the studs, involving a large tub and vanity station.

All the work was explained thoroughly with a schedule and potential roadblocks that could occur along the way. We also discussed additional work during the job, some of which I decided to add and others I did not. There was no pressure. The schedule and pricing were kept. We set up a payment schedule for the projects and working with them was great.

I have been spoiled with this being the first time I have hired someone for this type of work. None of my neighbors recommended their contractors. They were clean and came back to repair a leak after the job was finished and paid for already. They are repairing the ceiling where the leak occurred. more...

They did great work

I hired Long Island Kitchen Designs to remodel my kitchen and they hired another contractor to gut and remodel much of the rest of the apartment. They did a very nice job and were professional. Stuart had some good ideas that turned out fine.

All the contractors were always on time. I had a great feeling about Long Island Kitchens since the estimate. I immediately trusted him and was impressed at their efforts to come on a horrible day. There were issues with the building and other things not under their control, but the job was finished to the best schedule they could put together aside from those hicups. more...

Beautiful kitchen

Long Island Kitchen Designs is a very reputable business that does great work. I have known Stuart personally for years and finally saw his work through a mutual friend. I had little doubt in my mind that I would use him when I was looking to renovate my kitchen.

My kitchen is phenomenal! He came on time and did wonderful work. And of course he was a pleasure to work with in all aspects. I needed extra crown molding and there was no wait at all. I have recommended him since and will continue to do so. more...

More than you can ever ask for

I have had my fair share of horrible experiences with contractors and have been fortunate a friend referred me to Long Island Kitchen Designs about eight or nine years ago. Stuart is a kind and compassionate person. He exudes care and concern on his jobs and is very considerate in all aspects of his work. He is helpful and listens to the customers needs. The work also looks excellent. Stuart is the only company I have hired that I have been happy with after the project was over. more...

A fair contractor

Long Island Kitchen Design was extremely pleasant while in my home. They gutted my kitchen and rebuilt it over the course of two months. We were supplied with new cabinets, floors, and a great new kitchen.

All of the crew were very personable and we felt like friends by the time the job was over. All of the contacts they had for materials worked out well. I was surprised at how immaculately clean they were during the project, too. Any addition things that needed to be done when found during the job were fair and reasonable additions.

I entrusted the company as they were kind and compassionate. I continually sing their praises and would highly recommend them. more...

Total renovation

We hired Long Island Kitchen Designs initially to renovate our kitchen. We were so impressed with their work we had them install a fireplace and replace windows as well. They truly did an incredibly good job.

The team was very professional and work was done in the specified eight week time frame. They were on time and on site daily, which is sometimes tough when dealing with contractors. They come very highly recommended from me.

Beautiful kitchen

After shopping around extensively for a contractor to renovate our kitchen we stumbled upon Long Island Kitchen Designs. They beat all of the prices we previously received and did an excellent job. There was actually a situation where he ran out of molding and did not charge us for the extra that needed to be purchased. This was not the cheapest molding either.

Stuart goes above and beyond for his customers. He came to measure twice, ensuring it would look perfect. The kitchen was opened up from a "U-shape" to an "L-shape", giving us much more room. We have already highly recommended Long Island Kitchen Designs and will continue to do so going forward. more...

Superclean and accomodating

Initially we were hesitant at first to remodel the kitchen because we have heard the horror stories of how inconvenient it can be. Stew from Long Island Kitchen Designs made sure to accommodate us as best he could. The refrigerator and kitchen table were moved and made very accessible. We explained we are very allergic to dust so they were extremely neat and had layers upon layers of plastic to protect the rest of the house. They really did their best to it livable for us. The timely manner in which they did things gave us extra surprise there was no mess. I would highly recommend them. more...

Very good experience

I was able to buy my materials from Long Island Kitchen Design and had a close contact do the installation. Stew was very easy to work with and resolved some of the issues that came up along the way. For instance, there were materials that needed replacement and that was taken care of fairly quickly. He also helped me work within a budget as well, and mentioned possible upgrades if I was interested in budging. more...

Nice person and good work

I received a quote from a larger company two years ago, but the price was out of my ballpark. I saw some work Stew had done in a friend's home and last year decided to discuss the remodeling of my kitchen with him. He was very helpful and did not pressure me into any quick decisions. The accommodation of my questions was great and I would gladly recommend him. more...

Great decor

I have a two degree separation from Stew and I am no stranger to his work. I already knew I was hiring a good man with great quality in his work. He impressed me with the ideas that I had never envisioned. Also very important, I had discussed an idea and he made it happen, giving me more space and efficiency in the kitchen. He's also remodeled a few bathrooms for some friends of mine. more...

Fantastic work

Stewart has had a hand in remodeling most of the development where we reside. He is not good people, but great people. There was never any mystery as to whether his crew would show up and if there were materials needed they were on site on time. Our kitchen looks beautiful! more...

Friendly service

After deciding we wanted to replace our kitchen counter top. I saw Long Island Kitchen's ad in the paper and visited the store for my first encounter with Stew. I mentioned I wanted to look at granite so he gave me a contact for that and sent me on my way. I eventually realized I like the silestone counters Stew had originally showed me in my visit. The team was very punctual and easy to work with as far as schedule is concerned. He kept us well informed as the materials arrivals and the counters look great. I would definitely recommend them. more...
